Sunday Afternoons

After church each Sunday the Escolares (high schoolers) and Universitarios (university students) prepare a meal together at the church. It is a great time to fellowship with each other and get to know one another. After each meal we have a special prayer time together. We pray for the requests of all the church members and for our own requests. It's such a wonderful afternoon!

For Sunday lunch we made hot dogs. So, of course, we had to prepare tomatoes and alvacado to put on top of them! A hot dog with tomato, alvacado, mayonaise, and ketchup is very popular in Chile. They call them "completos." As I was smashing up the alvacado, I was thinking to myself, "I am DEFINITELY not in Texas anymore!! There definitely wasn't any chili, cheese, or onions in sight!

Los Practicantes

Los Practicantes

Well, I've been in Santiago for 4 days now. I must say that it already seems like I've been here much longer! There's not much to say about what I've been doing. So far, I'm just spending time working on my Spanish and forming relationships with the University Students. The other interns here have been a big help to me! They are pictured above. From left to right they are: Lauren, Ben, and Lindsey. They all welcomed me at the airport and they have been a big help to me while I'm getting adjusted to life in Santiago. I just wanted you to meet them! Come down and visit me so you can meet them in person!!
